I am very new to this environment but I have so much to say! I don't know why it has taken me so long to get into this blogging thing. I have very strong opinions on many different subjects and I am an eager student to those of you that know more than me on some subjects. I hope to inspire people to get up, get out and get involved. Get involved in anything (within the law). I can't stand to see people mindlessly following the people in front of them. You'll find that I write mostly on fitness and if any of you know me you'll know why. I go to the gym daily and see people just looking around and doind exwecises they saw me do or some other "fit looking" person, not realizing that there is a science and structure to this working-out thing. Too many people get injured because they don't think to educate themselves on the proper technique or recruit the help of a qualified person. That is just my example of getting involved. When I say get involved I mean in your schools, churches, work places, communities. Do something for someone other than yourself. Volunteer to help with a luncheon, or do the breast cancer walk. Don't just walk mindlessly through life following the person in front of you. How many of you know your neighbor two doors down? Or the person in the cubicle three down from yours. Have you offered to bring them a coffee on your way back from the kitchen? Have you even said hello? I used to work for 24 Hour Fitness and the members would constantly complain that most of the other trainers have never said hello to them eventhough they see them five days a week in passing. "You know you are the 1st trainer to say hello to me!" I was absolutely appalled. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to start my own personal training business where I can do my part to change the way people in my community felt about trainer/client relationships. The feedback has been very positive and if it wasn't clear before people like to know that other people care about them. Do you care? That is a question that I asked myself and when I can feel myself getting upset when others are ignored and excluded I can answer that with a clear conscience. I have a long ways to go to be the person I ultimately want to be but I do love people and I love this country. This country where we are free to blog and say whatever the hell we want. When I started this blog I thought it would be short and sweet and here I am forcing myself to cut this off and go to bed because it is half past midnight. Future blogs will be on topics such as fitness (Online Personal Training), politics and sex. My three favorite things;) Good night out there BlogLand! Until we meet again.
